Postcards are “still” a thing. They are solid marketing tools, fairly inexpensive to produce and serve an important purpose.
I have designed numerous postcards over the years ranging from yoga schools, banks and healthcare companies and world famous rock stars.
You can convey quite a bit of information on a 5×7 postcard. I have taken it a step further because first impressions only come once. I specifically create the postcards I design with a satin finish laminate. Not only is it waterproof, but it resists fingerprints, is nice and thick and feels amazing. Every single time I hand one to someone, they feel it and keep wanting to touch it. It’s hilarious.
But it gets your attention and is special. That is the entire point of design and tactile aesthetics that accompany the art.
