After a 5 day trip to the island of Kauai, Hawaii in April 2005, I decided to quit my job as an Art Director for a Multi-Billion Dollar Real Estate Brokerage company in Dallas that I had been at for almost a decade.
I had started out as a temp and then worked my way all the way up to role as Art Director.
They offered me more money, but I knew that wouldn’t help my spirit and would do nothing to restore my creative drive that had been lying dormant for quite a while.
I knew deep down in my spirit that I needed to “Follow My Bliss”. I needed to do things that I love in life and turn them into a career. I was done working for others and wanted to start working for myself.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it, but I knew that life is short and I needed to be doing art, music and film.
The day I resigned, I was offered my first job to create a pen and ink illustration for a band poster for $100. And I had total creative freedom as to do whatever I wanted. A week later, presented it and of course, knocked it out of the park and my first client LOVED it!
Many synchronicities started appearing (and still appear) that have shown me that it was the best decision I could ever make, which would set me on the path of creative entrepreneurship for 20+ years.
I feel extremely blessed to be able to follow my three favorite passions that I have had my entire life, channel some K2 Creativity into them for every single one of my clients and watch the wonderful magic unfold.
K2 Creative began life out of necessity in October 2005 and has now been providing creative services throughout DFW and remotely all over the United States for the last 20+ years!
