This is what begins to put everything in action and creates the necessary effort in order to begin anything that is meaningful.
It is the reason you prefer to act on your highest joy, not because what you think it will get you.
You do exactly what you need to do and that is exactly what you need to do.
I made a decision 20+ years ago that I would never “work” for someone again helping to make their dreams a reality and selling my soul for time and money.
Ever since then, I have chosen who I wanted to work with based on what their business was about, especially those just starting out. If I could help them build their brand starting with a solid logo, then naturally move forward to create a myriad of the other marketing items to help promote their business in a uniquely creative way.
And I can honestly tell you that I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with some amazing people and industries that I would never have experienced if I was working for a single company day after day.
One of my highest joys is hearing an amazing idea of something that I have never thought of or seen that is interesting and has potential. And then once I can visualize what is communicated to me by my client, the gears begin to turn and the ideas and possibilities start to appear and imaginatively form in wonderful ways.
Once I show my ideas that I have come up with or even ones that just showed up that we didn’t discuss to throw out more possibilities, my client is blown away by the variety or ideas that took what was in their mind and made it real.
I have learned so much from my clients about industries I never knew anything about before working with them to help their businesses in whatever ways they needed at the time and over time.
The best clients I have ever had were those that hired me on a monthly retainer. We would work together on whatever they needed, a set amount of hours each month and then create whatever they needed.
For larger projects, we would work with assigned budgets and projected timelines for delivery.
The best part of these situations is they can count on me and I can count on them. They soon realize that they don’t have to go anywhere else because they just hired an entire team of people at once when working with me.
